I wonder if that interview did for him last night, if I was an owner and saw a manager give an interview  like that it would raise a lot if red flags.

Or he knew that he was done for before the interview.

I think TT was too honest in recent interviews. I worked for an American company for 26 years, and they definitely don't appreciate realism or honesty from a business culture perspective, and doubly so if it's in public. Thought Boehly might be a bit different, given he completed his education in London rather than, say Harvard Management School, but clearly not. I guess you don't become a billionaire in your own right without being utterly ruthless.

Pochettino was at Tottenham from 2014 'til 2019, so long term. Does anyone seriously think we would keep a coach for that period of time? Pochettino also had Harry Kane to help him out and make him look better than he probably was.

I don’t get it. It’s obvious he’s one of the best coaches in the world and I believed he would close the gap to Liverpool and City. So far he is getting us there after past couple of seasons.

Its been a chaotic year and so many new signings, and he doesn’t even get the time to bed them in. Pathetic.

What we need urgently is a Director of Football. It's clear as daylight that there lies our main problem at the moment.... that and creative midfielders.

I wonder wether an incoming DoF has expressed reservations about Tuchel and the owner has taken pre-emotive steps?

Only manager i can think of that its available is Zidane or perhaps give JT a try, with someone experienced next to him not a jody morris type of assistant. Ideally have both Zidane and JT as his assistant.

Very surprised at this considering the money he was given to spend and the freedom to bring in his choice of players.

Unless the new manager has an immediate effect then he’ll be stuck with players that aren’t his choice.

Merry go round time.

We didn't then buy Tuchels players...or if we did, we are dumb as f**k

That's a question isn't it. Were these Tuchel's preferred buys or not....

Feels like we're back to square one, although the team has been dire, no part of it functions as it should

No way Poch would have lasted that long here. The bar at Chelsea is significantly higher than at Spuds.

Different board, same old.

So disappointing.

CL winner, TT will remain a legend.

He deserved better.

I am an optimist by nature, but I hope this is not the start of a decline in which incompetence reigns supreme. I have long accepted the ruthless approach undertaken by the club…but the logic of this decision from a footballing perspective?

Are we linked to a DoF? I don't know, but if we were and he/she had expressed reservations about Tuchel, it would not make sense Boehly buying the players that Tuchel wanted if they knew that the coach was walking on ice.

Thought was a April fool joke when I first read it, but now 🤢

We have seen this movie so many times. Manager X comes in, players felt a big guilty and started to put a shift in, we won a few games and the owner is praised, the previous manager was forgotten. 6-12 months later, we are in the same sh*t slide and owner immediately sacks him, and everyone wonder why didnt we keep the last manager?

I don't even care who's coming in, Jose the Third, failed Poch or Graham Potter? Having fun getting paid, you will get sacked as soon as you get into trouble, and got NO CL trophy to show for it.

Boehly  should appoint himself the manager, after all him already made himself DOF

Chelsea will never be the elite, with crazy owner press reset button everytime we get into trouble. Yes we won every trophy at least once, but we never sustained that for a reason, because everytime we hit a road block, the owner reboots and set us back.

Tuchel could have left us when we were under sanction, he could have easily taken the United job and left the Chelsea mess behind, but he didn't, he stayed and tried to rescue us on and off the field . It's f* unbelievable Boehly sacked him after 7 games, and left us the true laughing stock of football.

What about Klopp as the next manager?

He's had a worse start to the season than Tuchel I'm sure he'll be sacked any day now right?

Or we could wait a week and maybe pick up Guardiola if they drop points in their 2nd consecutive league game.

Big brain Boehly.

Difference with Klopp is that Liverpool have had a depleted midfield, haven't spent what we have spent, lost one of their best players in Mane and despite the results, they still look threatening every game.

We looked so blunt and devoid of ideas under TT. Attack, midfield and defence were just so bad.

I think Thomas Frank must also be in with a shout ... has Brentford punching well above their weight and also already used to the data driven money ball approach, and coaching the players he is given by that process ...

Its a pity this decision wasn't made when new owners  took over It was obvious from our performances last season and the amount of unhappy players that TT was not the man to take us forward we would have got a lot more players willing to come in transfer market with different manager. All those comparing TT to Pep and Klopp so so wrong  he was never near their level. Boring football  stubborn crap tactics, players played out of position. All the best Thomas thanks for the champions league Tommy

Shocked and a bit lost for words peeps, would have personally given him more time. That being said if we're all being honest this was probably coming. The football has been dull for a while and as a new owner despite how much or highly we rate and love Tuchel you can understand why the decision was made.

They want to purchase an attractive brand of football at some point they will have wanted to have their own man in place. Let's hope whoever they bring in will be able to bring an  attractive brand of football back to Stamford Bridge.

Thank you Thomas for everything, you will forever be a cult legend. You brought us back from obscurity half way through a season where we looked completely lost. You navigated us through a very difficult period (ownership change), you stayed professional during one of the most personally difficult times of your life (divorce). Personally I think he's earned a well deserved rest from football. Also there's nothing to say he can't return one day just like Jose.

We'll always have UCL 2021, Super Cup 2021 and World Club Champions 2021. You made history at this club and left your mark. Thank you again.
