So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!

What if it takes another 9 months for the next guy to figure out a good system? Another season down the drain.

We should hire someone that already has a good tactical system in place, like De Zerbi. They play 4-2-3-1 as well, so it wouldn't be a huge transition. Not to mention he's coached Caicedo and Colwill before.

Though now I'm hearing names like Maresca and McKenna, I'm not confident at all

They always say 'by mutual consent', just saves face for the person getting sacked !!

I'm aware mate, but all signs in my opinion point to it generally being mutual. I think the club perhaps would have continued and Pochettino also if they had come to an agreement. Its possible they didn't want to extend his contract and would have had to look for a new coach after next season anyway.

I assume Pochettino wants a more regular and stable job, both in terms of having a say in recruitment and also how long he's in the job. This is all guess work but at this point I'm sure all the factors public and private indicate a failure to agree.

The club think they can just find the next Xabi Alonso it's so clear, they think they can sign the next Ronaldo or Messi and the next best coach in the world by looking purely at youth.

The coach who wants experience in his squad and has experience lets just forget about that

Guys, remember this is a manager who played for penalties against Liverpool youth.

That's bollocks.

He brought on Madueke and Mudryk in ET ... you don't do that to shut up shop and play for penalties.

And stop pandering to that ridiculous "Liverpool youth" crap. We had the younger team during every minute of that match ...

In fairness there's a difference between prospects signed for 50-100m each and prospects making their first senior appearance

I don't agree with Poch's sacking but De Zerbi is being criminally underrated here

Last season Brighton were

4th in average possession (we're 5th)

5th in shots per game (we're 9th)

6th least shots faced per game (we're 14th)

All with a far, far inferior squad to what we have. He'll surprise people if he comes here.

No he won't.  Although Chelsea has been my club since 1957 and I have been a season ticket holder since 1976, I also watch BHA at the Amex a lot. He had a good season last year. He improved players. This season, apart from a good start and, ultimately,  an excellent performance in EL group stage, it's been dismal a lot of the time. The football under de Zerbi will not be as entertaining as you think. He is also a sulk.

I’d have loved to have been a fly on the wall for the meeting.

Poch: I want more control over transfers.

No. Can’t you see the masses of talent we’ve worked our fingers to the bone for?

We’ve provided players who will be great in 3 years and all we require you to do is finish top 4 until then whilst we provide you with as many teenage wonder kids as you can fit into the dressing room.

Poch: Stick it up your hoop!

He’s Chelsea through and through.

I'm a fan but I just hope he sticks with the 3-4-3 that worked at Chelsea

His Bayern team don't look anywhere near as good at controlling games as we were, even though they have much better players

We played Real of the park under Tuchel, but his Bayern team just parked the bus trying to scrape a win.

Ironically, Leverkusen won the league off Bayern in a possession based 3-4-3.
